You could also run it off of 2 18650s for the best runtime, couldn't you? I mean, after you removed the anodize from the inside of the tailcap.

That's how I run my UW0K nFlex.

sure as long as the batteries voltage is above the led's Vf (5.91V-6.39V)
and 2 18650s is what 7.2V-7.4V :)

190 Lumens... maybe higher on (high @ 1000mA)

My very favorite Magmod uses an nFlex... don't let all the capabilities listed in the manual scare you... Once the options are set in the menu mode, you just click to turn the light on, then hold the button down to either dim or brighten the level. Once you find the level you want to use, clicking the switch as normal turns the light off and on at that same level.

It sounds WAY more complicated than it is. The nFlex is an outstandingly simple and versatile driver and this is a GREAT light for a great price.
