Very inspiring!
But he should have converted it to become etahnol-powered as well. At least IMHO.

The other way around would be useful too. To charge it with electricity rather than fueling it up again and only use gasoline when necessary.

I use my wheelchair batteries during power failures for power too.

I've been toying with the idea of getting some kind of diesel generator as a back up but this is just awesome. If we are lucky one of the automakers will come out with a whole system so you just plug in your car when you park it and you are covered.

Do the math, I found the honda 5hp one at northerntool to be about the most efficient math wise compared to the kubato diesel generator. I think I have that name right. Of course the diesel could be run on biofuel if it checks out as that can degrade the hoses and tank. Once its warmed up it could run on raw filtered vegetable oil.

Maybe one day we will have have an old prius laying around we can use as a back up power supply?
