HID v halogen heat output

has anyone got the figures, for halogen and HID heat out put, in relation to wattage, ie 100watt halogen v 100 watt hid etc.
or know of anywhere that i could go to find out?

Your 100 W HID (assuming 100 lm/W here) would output about 25 W of light and about 75 W of heat.
Your 100 W halogen (20 lm/W) would output about 5 W of light and 95 W of heat.

The numbers are estimates. I know that a 130 lm/W high pressure sodium lamp has hot 29% efficiency but if you shift the spectrum, it will be different.
However, the 5:1 ratio should be valid.
