I have a light that uses 3xAA batteries. I'd like to use NiMh, but my C204F charger only charges cells in pairs. If I use a set of 4AA, and after 3 of them are discharged in the light, can I wire them in parallel so the fourth discharges into the others and they equalize? Then I could charge all 4 in my charger and do it all again.

Only lousy chargers charge cells in multiples, except for a charger meant for battery packs.

I say get six batteries and rotate them

Chargers that charge in pairs are just fine for things that only use cells in pairs, like most people use. I don't want more than one pack because then they'd still have to be equalized before I could charge them.
