A few months back, I modded a Surefire KL4 by replacing the driver board with a Wiz2 937mA and switching out the Lux V with a Lux III UW0K. I realized after some use that I could get only about 30 minutes of light with 2x123s before the light would start to flicker, as is the characteristic of the Wiz2 according to what I read about it. Fast forward to 2 months ago when I purchased a BOG LED drop-in module for my G2Z. I thought to myself that it would be cool to transplant the driver board of the BOG to my KL4, replacing the Wiz2, in order to get better runtimes. That's exactly what I did tonight. I extracted the driver board of the BOG and replaced the Wiz2 in the KL4. The light works like a charm. Now for some runtime testing.
