I bought the McE2S assembly for C series Surefire lights from the Shoppe and I notice the resistor plate is too large for the E series lights. Can I replace just the plate or is the whole E series assembly different?

Sounds like nakahosi is right on the money. I think you bought the "wrong" one, but Wayne at the Shoppe should be able to sell you the resistor board for a couple of bucks ;)

Well i didn't buy the wrong one - I was using it in a z-41 tailcap on my L5.

Thanks for the info, just picked up a E-sized 30-ohm resistor board from the shoppe...
