Will this light really be the RAW DA? Maybe RAW DM or RAW DAM? Just a thought.

Is it possible to get mine to look similar to the one here:

In the center.....I'm not sure how it was dyed, but it sure would look mighty sweeeeeeet for the RAW DA.

WP: The Damascus on order is Heimskringla Round Black Barrel twist.
I imagine it will turn out shades of silver / grey rather than like that colour.
Does it look like this?
I was hoping for something with more distinct pattern like this:
or even this:

Yeah, something like this would be cool:

That's a shotgun barrel, but it's cylindrical so it's not so far off what a flashlight in damascus might look like. I hope the raw da's turn out like that *drool*
I think the only time to see what the pattern looks like is when I get the material. It should be here end of this month.Originally Posted by WAVE_PARTICLE
Rob, you could bump #15 on that list and put me on instead!![]()

I have a William Henry knife with a stainless damascus "raindrop pattern" similar to the bottom one shown on the posts above, it looks terriffic in real life. I've also owned it for over ten years and it takes no effort to maintain.

Just to be sure, can someone tell me what battery size will fit in this light.
Thanks. ;-nrk
Rob said this light would be the same as the Raw NS & Ti versions so it will take the 14250 battery.Originally Posted by nrk

If you have interest in protected 14250 cells for this light, see the interest thread in the dealer's corner....![]()

The Material is here, Two dirty horrible bars.
Or a couple of Thousand $$$$'s of beautiful hand crafted Damascus.
First try with a weak acid based solution with out hardening just to show the pattern:
It will be a few weeks before the CNC shop can load this small Run.
In the mean time I will practise the Hardening & Etching Process.

I don't think I could have asked for a better pattern! These are going to be GREAT!!
