Thanks and thanks for a great light.
I am not too keen on Crees in the larger reflectors but they seem to work great in the small ones! This is one bright light for its size.
The XR-E in the small Ref provides a much tighter brighter beam than the Seoul in the same size Dia Ref.Originally Posted by London Lad

I finally could snatch my little damast beauty from the postal office today (had the notification from the postal guy on monday already - unfortunatelly the postal office was closed yesterday => a hard time it was!). You really need to hold it in our own hands to appreciate it properly. That light is great! Unfortunatelly my pictures are not but my cam sucks indoors!

Good people need to be there for each other. It's the only way to stay sane in a sometimes insane world.
Got 'em, Rob, and once again they are outstanding, thanks.Originally Posted by orb

Niiiiice photo. For your next trick, do a really long exposure, and a flash too. do it at night. The long exposure will make the tritium tube glow in the photo. That's how I did mine. Which lens on which camera body was that?
Cheers rik, I'll try that...

Da plane flew over California today and parachuted one cool flashlight to me and I caught it in mid air. What a nice surprise (sort of) but definitely worth the wait. A very nice companion for my NS and Ti lights. Thanks again for making these available.

I have noticed how hard wearing these should be. Also the pattern will disguise marks or scratches.
Has Everybody received there Raw Da?
I took a break from my work on Aikiman44's Raw Ti (I've been doing more experimenting) and put in some time on a Raw Da that arrived here a couple of days ago from Germany...
Up until now I've only worked on lights with all the "guts" removed. This one came to me fully intact and so I had to work very carefully around the lens, etc... But the end result is...That baby is now gleaming!!!!
I don't know if I'll be able to really show it off with my limited photography skills, but I'll take a crack at it tomorrow.

As I stated earlier, my photography skills are indeed limited. I can show the gist of the overall image, but I have never been able to show polish, luster, gleam, etc. You're just going to have to take my word for it that the difference between this light now and when I got it is night and day! It is much brighter...and the surface is much more reflective.
Here are a number of shots to the best of my ability:

And a couple more...
This was the toughest shot...Just can't figure out how to show how VERY shiny the base is now. I know that it doesn't appear that different in these photos, but the difference between the way the light looked when I received it, compared with the way it looks now, is positively HUGE!!! I used a word earlier to describe it...GLEAMING...Especially the base, with its cool raindrop pattern, which is now shimmering with its near mirror finish.
Tomorrow I'll be shipping this out to its owner in Germany. Hope he's happy!
