Has anyone tried this ?????

I was trying to figure out how I could make my new AAA le fit better in my shirt pocket like a penlight and came up with this idea.
Using the holes on the tail piece so you don't damage the lights. Mount a homemade hinge with a locking set screw on two AAA's back to back. This would make them about 5.5 inches long (perfect to fit in a shirt pocket with a clip). Next the good part, you could losen the set screw on the hinge and fold the two lights side by side and have twice the light. Has anyone ever tried this. Comments and ideas welcome.

Sounds like a pretty neat idea. I keep getting the feeling that I've seen something like this before, but can't thing where..

Anyway, sounds like something simple enough to put together. Might try and do it sometime.
