I mod'd a 2AA legend with a 5mm aqua led. It was immediately appropriated by my son. He has no regard for gentle treatment of illumination tools. The light has been dropped, clicked on/off as fast as a 5 yr. old can click about 10 trillion times and has been jammed into nooks with abandon.

The switch is still aok in all respects. (Note, I did lube it upon receipt with Radio Shack gnrl purpose lube)

The body is UNMARRED.

The lens, for some reason, has done better than a minimag which rcvd less abuse.

For the last 4 nights, it has gone into the evening shower with my son. Aimed at the water, aimed at the floor, held sideways, upside down, anything you can imagine a little kid doing. It has been covered with various soaps and shampoos. It has taken the full blast of the (non restricted) water flow. It has been clicked off/on while being drenched. Total "exposed" time, about 30 minutes over 4 nights.

It has not flickered, waivered, blinked or blown up.

If you want to mod a cheap light, this is it.

If you have a Lambda Illuminator (and I do), fear not...bring it on.

Tonight, my experimental light gets the sink treatment.
