Here's a simple mod to a pelican versalite. I wanted a small led light to sit in a jacket pocket and provide general peripheral down light when I'm night fishing.
1. Dismantle the head.
2. Force the spring onto the PR2 base
3. Snip the excess flange off the bulb
4. Cut, file the reflector down and expand hole to fit the led
5. Reverse the battery polarity (you may need a sonic screwdriver)
6. Put it back together
