The thread title says it all...the AAA cell is stuck inside the barrel of my 2003 CPF Arc-AAA :thumbsdow...is there some way I can remove it without seriously damaging the barrel?
This is a one-of-a-kind flashlight, and I *CANNOT* obtain a replacement, regardless of the cost.

Never mind...got it out!!! :twothumbs:

A dozen hard whacks on a concrete patio floor did the trick.
It was a Duracell AAA, and it had sprung a leak at the (-) terminal.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to clean battery poop out of the bottom of the tiny barrel.

I think the goop should be water soluble. Put one drop of dish detergent in a glass of water and soak the barrel overnight. In the morning, try removing all of the remaining residue with a Q-tip.

Duracell: http://www.duracell.com/oem/primary/alkaline/alkactcomp.asp

"The electrolyte consists of a concentrated aqueous solution of potassium hydroxide (KOH) to which zinc oxide is added to retard corrosion of the zinc. This inhibits the dissolution of the zinc anode and extends the shelf life. In some cell designs, a gel-type electrolyte is formed by the addition of a gelling agent. This electrolyte is alkaline (basic) in contrast to the electrolyte of regular zinc-carbon cells, which is acidic. The concentrated potassium hydroxide solution offers high ionic mobility with a low freezing point."
