    Default Spy 005 runtimes (complete)

This Spy 005 belongs to 4sevens who very generously loaned it to me for testing. It is of the 1000mA flavor rather than the 600mA.

A composite of the lines I've created so far.

Below are individual graphs for more detail.

    Eccelent ! Thanx !
This is the 1000mA version I suppose?

There is a type of perfection that transcends the quest for lumens. Buying a $250 1-cell light for "lum factor" is like buying a $250 single malt Scotch for the alcohol content.

I think it's time for a chevrofreak spy fund
These graphs (among others) were all carefully done and require lots of time.
If folks think this is a good idea, I'd be willing to chip in

There probably would be if you ran it very long without cooling it. When I did the level 6 test I had a 14" diameter fan blasting the light from 10" away on maximum. That kept it cool enough that no damage would occur to either the LED or the circuit board.

Thanks for doing the test. We can use these numbers to base how long the rest of the levels will run for.

No. I'd like to eventually get a laser thermometer for that job though.

Got busted lights? Send me a PM and depending on the situation, I'll take 'em off your hands. I always like a good modding challenge.

I'm kicking in a little right now...

Freak's runtimes are immensely useful. I know this effort (Spy) is already funded, but we've gotta keep this guy in batteries for other lights. Really useful work...

Thank you man for these great graphs... Do you project to do the same with JSBurly's RCR123 ?

And I think we will read the Level 1 graph after some weeks

These graphs are great, but maybe for ease of reading you could break the top graph into two. The first 3 levels and the next 3 levels. When you add level 1, Level 6 is going to go to a vertical line.

    I guess 184 hrs for Level 1!

Keep in mind the lowest two levels can be adjusted

My guess based on the trend is 185 hours
