Life span of a spare lamp assembly

I have a spare SureFire MA02 and a P60 sitting in the closet. Do the lamp assemblies have a shelf life, and if so what is it? Will the output (lumens) of the lamp assemblies decrease with age as they sit in the closet?

Do I stock up on spares or do I wait until each lamp assembly burns out?

Thank you,

I doubt it would rust or deteriorate just sitting there. Tugsten (sp?) is very durable metal.

When you heat it up and use it is what wears them. Sitting on a shelf as long as they don't get steped on or something they'll be fine.

Roughly six weeks. If you want me to dispose of them for you (they contain tungsten, a heavy metal), PM me and I'll send you my address so you can mail them to me.

Sitting someplace where they are not exposed to extreme heat, moisture, or shock and/or vibration, they should last a very long time. The filament of any bulb is either in a vacuum or an inert gas environment, so no oxidation can occur.

Also, avoid dust on bulbs and LA's for obvious reasons.
