Will the LR 14500 protected batterys sold by Lighthound fit in my L1T? Or do I have to go with unprotected cells. Also I have the r123 tube for my L1T and love it, will I get better run time from a 3v 14500 than I am with my r123a's? Love the brightness, just seaching for more run time.

Following is a link to a similar thread. The link below contains a link to a thread by Vincent (UnKnownVT) with even more info. Vincent did a great job on this one! I sent an e-mail to Lighthound asking if their 14500 protected cells were longer than 2.0" and they replied that their 14500 cells probably would not work in the L1T. They suggested I ask to see if AW' cells will work. You can find AW in the dealer corner. I will send AW an e-mail and ask him to respond. Several have mentioned modifications to make the longer 14500 cells work, but I would prefer to find cells of the same length as common AA's
