What brand D Nimh do you use ?

What is your opinion on the quality of D cells(Nimh) you have used ?

What brand worked best for you ?

What charger are you using ?

CTA 12,000mah in a Maha C808M. I'm happy with the cells & the charger.

i have had some "supreme power" 9000s they were great for a long time.
its about time i move to at least a 11000 though.

should i mention the fire they started

i was OVERCHARGING them, abusing them, and instead of the vent opening , which Sanyo nicads would have done, it blew open, and a resulting short started a small fire.
the stupid thing was me overcharging them, why they didnt vent i dont know, because i have nothing to compare to.

G.I. brand 8000 mah. That's cheapbatteries.com own brand. They are around 4 years old and still have most of their capacity. Natcherly I use the Saitek/C Crane chargers.

I could mention that one of the cells has lost 10% of it's capacity due to over discharge. Assuming you have a decent charger, over discharge is the #1 enemy of NiMH cells.
