I just bought a Scorpion. Great light I love it! Brighter than my TEC 40 and smaller to boot.
The only grievance is of course battery cost. Even though I bought some 123As for $1.25ea it's still pricey. Rechargeable would be much cheaper in the long run.
Those of you who know your stuff about batteries tell me if this would work or not.
(5) 1/3AAA NIMH would be about the same legnth as (2) 123As. It would also be 6V (1.2x5).
Or.
(4) 1/3AA NIMH. This would only be 4.8V but would also fit.
Or.
Either (6) 1/4AAA NIMH or (6) 1/3N NIMH both giving 7.2V
The only thing I'm not too sure on is the runtime. I'm guessing it would really suck.
