hi everyone, I have seen the words "spotlight" and "searchlight" used interchangably in some literature. Anyone care to elaborate on the differences/similarities? Perhaps what Surefire means by "true searchlight capability" with the M6?

I guess they just mean it's bright enough and has enough throw to be used as a searchlight and spot things at long range.

Flood= wide beam, illuminates an area, especially indoors.

Spot= narrow beam, gives a longer throw, illuminates objects further away.

Searchlight= extremely bright spot, illuminates even further away, and probably, due to the power, gives some wide area coverage too.
