2d or 3d? Which to mod?

Trying to make a decision on which to mod a Mag 2D or 3D. Can someone tell me the possible battery configs for each? Also, what I really want to know is what is the most lumens I can get out of each. Looks like it is not too hard to get 1300 out of the 3D, ie MAG610, but I can't seem to find much about the 2D size.

An easy but bright mod for a 2D Mag would be to overdrive the 24 watt ROP-HI PR based bulb with 7 high quality Ni-MH cells and a dummy cell in a 8AA to 2D coverter.
Depending on the cells you use, you might also want to try the Philips 5761 or the Osram 64275 bi-pin bulbs for Mag 85ish output.
