Wow we must be thinking alike, i was just looking at that in my shomer tec catolog.
I decided one day i should try and experiment with some plastics since titanium can be detected by some metal detectors. I got some plexiglass and cut out the shape of a credit card. Then I sanded it down with 550 grit sandpaper only on the edges. Next i held one of the long sides of the 'credit card" at a 30 degree angle to the sandpaper and made a sort of chisel edge on the card. I later finished up the edge with a sharpening stone. The project took alot of time, but it came out REALLY nice. Now i have a knife that will go with me anywhere.
PS I also made another knife exactly like the emerson lagriffe, it came out really cool also, but the edge is not that good because it is really hard to put a consistant edge on a curved blade.
