MOD136finishedlightpic1a900x.jpg

Fivemega gun metal grey HA III custom Mag2C with finned head and deep tailcap, UCL lens, 3xLuxV WX0T stars, 3x McR20 reflectors, modified PTS-C Cu heatsink, D2DIM dimmer in custom made holder, switch modified to momentary pushbutton (off-on), running on 2x 18650 cells.

Ran the light for 40 mins at the highest level.

Used a fan and every 10 mins the light was turned off for 5 mins to let it cool down.

Current measuring was as follows:

OutputTL-WX0TD2DIM2x18650.jpg

Lumens output (at 700mA) should be in the range 3x (147.7 – 192.0) = 443.1 – 576.0 Lumens.

Thanks for looking. :)

Paypal sent :nana:

Do you have any comparisons to some known incandescents like the Surefire M6? I'd love to see one in action here where we have high quality darkness.

Good thing thats a copper heatsink!

Bet that sucker gets a bit warm.

I bet the beam is a great "yard filler".

Great light. My 3xWWOT is pushing over 500 lumens. Seems the recent WWOT's are super achievers. Great job using the D2Dim, wish I would have.

another great light by Icarus, I love the way all of Freddy's lights look like they left the factory that way rather than bits & pieces screwed together. Glad to see you're getting better.

Dimmer or multi-level driver is a must for these lights and they have to be used with sense.
At the highest level it is indeed a great "yard filler". :grin2:

VERY NICE! I hope to add a tri-luxV to my collection some day!

Thats holding pretty good output with a insaine initial brightness! :)... great thing about the d2dim is that you can drop the output down to keep the output curve pretty flat
