Are there any mods to make it brighter? Don't get me wrong it's bright:drool:, but I need more power! All I care about is throw, I tried using spacers but I couldn't get the gap right, and it looked better stock. ANy help? Thanks

i took the bulb and ballast out of mine and put it in a host 1/2 the size.
the new host is also a compressor, airpump, 12v supply.

I removed the 4.5Ah SLA and replaced it with a bunch of 18650's effectively
increasing the capacity to 14.4Ah.

Now the 35w HID runs over 3 hours continuously :D

Some Costco/Harbor Freight HID's have better focus then others. It is more a function of how well centered the bulbs are then their vertical orientation.
A little scoot in the right direction will make a big difference.

My well focused Costco HID has a lux reading at 37 feet of over 7,000.
My okay focused Costco HID has a lux reading at 37 feet of around 5,000.

Take Care,
