FWIW - Luminox ... I'm on my second one, my first dying from accidental misapplication of a baseball bat by my son years ago at practice ... the watch saved my wrist but sacrificed itself in the process. The trasers were cool to play with, though.
This one is 5 years old and I wear it always ... except when my wife forces me to get all dressed up. I can't recommend the Luminox watches enough for every day & rugged wear.
HOWEVER! I also do SCUBA. If you dive in your Luminox, I suggest you send yours back to the company for battery changes so the watch retains it's depth rating! If you or a local dealer replace the battery, Luminox will not stand behind the warranty for depth. Well, a local jeweler replaced my battery and after an 80' dive the watch fogged because he didn't depth test it after opening it up. Perhaps jewelers on the coast do this, but they sure don't here. Luminox was great to work with in getting my watch restored, but you really don't want to have to buy another movement like I did!
Sorry, Craig, I'm not much help on the WWII style watches.
