Inova T3 taking apart?

Has anyone been able to take apart the silver ring on top of the bezel to get to the TIROS reflector and led underneath? I've tried turning it both ways and just pulling it, but I can't get it to budge one bit. I think I'll try heat next to see if that will loosen it. I want to replace whatever led is in it with a premium led in it's place.

It's a press fit, i believe. Goodluck getting it out. To open those types of Inova lights, most people do the fill with water, freeze, slowly pop the end out method....I honestly can't report on the success beyond the x1 where it is very successful. The T series has the tiros optic, though. I have no idea how that will look afterwards. Hope this helps.
