    Default New LED technology

An article in FTM magazine syas there is a new LED from Lumileds that produces 26 lumens @ 350mA, its only the size of 2mmx1.6mm.0.7mm. Its called PWT1. The whole article along with a bunch of LED information(lumen efficency, driver diagrams, designs) is available at www.future-mag.com. Its in the october 2006 issue.

That's a small package, but 26 lumens at 350mA seems to be a step backwards if the vf is in the 3v ballpark.

Vf is 3.4 . That's not what we would call an improvement. It's tiny though!

It will find its use it won't be in flashlights.
Health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.
