Do you mean will the lamp cook the pumpkin? I don't think so. The HID bulb gets real hot but overall it doesn't give off that much heat. It is seriously air-cooled too, its about 32 deg F right now.WildRice said:

That looks seriously bright. I've never seen a jack'o'lantern used as a projector before!
