Ohhh Tempest. I was actually a pinball freak in those days. I loved all those Bally, Data East, Williams, Gottlieb, ummmmmmm My brother would drop me off at the arcade and I'd be on the pinball machines allllll night.

Some titles would be nice, eh? My all time favorite pinball game is Comet. That started the whole genre of pinball games with ramps everywhere. *sigh* The age of arcades is about dead because kids have their console systems at home. Also, if there is an arcade open, the damn games cost a a buck or two to play. :( AND most of these new game places use a charge card to play. I need my tokens!

Centipede. It was the only one I got even remotely good at. If memory serves me right, sometimes I could rack up a couple of hundred grand which still is not even remotely close to what the real players got. I know some games like Pac Man are all about memorizing patterns.

Tempest was a blast, as was the sequel to Defender, called StarGate.

Edit: I forgot about Tail Gunner and Tron! Loved those as well.

I was always a pinball man,

Some of my favorites where, Banzai Run, Bad Cats, Whirlwind, Gataway, Fish Tales, Whitewater, Addams Family.

Over the years I have bought and sold a few home pins, currently I still have a Whitewater and Fish Tales.

Was there an 80's game called llamatron? I remember that one being good - you had to use 2 joysticks at once.

Arakaniod was good aswell with it's knob... Missile command had a ball... :D

Turrican 2, another vote for 1942, and street fighter 2. :)

Sega Rally was also great, but probably 90's and not 80's.
