Taken from Sandwich Shoppe's website:
"It takes 1-3 days for credit card transactions to clear through authorize.net depending on day of the week. It will take an additional day(s) after the CC clears to get a refund. If you cannot wait the extra days, we will issue Shoppe credit."

Wayne - this makes sense, thanks.

So can it be assumed that the fastest way of having an order shipped out is to pay via PayPal, as the payment is immediate?

Thanks,
john

It is much easier to refund or correct an order via PP. For what ever reason CC has it's own issues and then add Authorize.net on top of that to complicate things.

When an order completes via CC you would think that all is well. Authorize.net like all other mechant accts sends and verifies the information through Visa or MC like any other CC transaction. So, why is it when we get an authorize.net receipt immediately when an order is placed not valid? Yes, we get an email notification from Authorize.net every order at the time of the order.

I believe the issue is that Authorize.net takes probably a day to register it into their own system. We can not look up the transaction right away like one would think. Thus, we can't do anything with the transaction if it's not in the system.

In addition, I believe if ones CC during this transaction fills up our transaction can be voided since the CC may no longer have the limit amount and we then lose the transaction.

I'm just guessing. Basically, it's a PIA.

To refund a CC transaction takes over 1/2 hour of typing and retyping the same information into the system. Not sure why it doesn't accept the data for a customer transaction, but, it doesn't. It takes 2,3,4 or 10 tries and that consumes a massive amount of time. Some of the orders that we refund are so small it's almost time to rethink charging order processing fees like everyone else and also re-stocking fees for any returns.

We've held off doing this to offer the bare miniumum overhead charges, but, if this kills us...

Maybe, it's time to find a different merchant CC acct.

We posted that information just to let our customers know we may not be able to refund and or process ones order ASAP.

PS. On a side note: We get a lot of requests enquiring where their order is the same day they place the order. I understand the excitement and expection to get their goods as soon as possible. We do our best to process orders in the order received and since we use small boxes the postage process is slower than mud. Every order gets email notification when it ships. If you have not received notifiction, it hasn't ship.

Order processing takes 3-5 days and up to 2 weeks for custom hand built assemblies or specials that are not already pre-made.

Order processing is not the same as Express ship. If you chose uber fast shipping it doesn't mean we process your order any faster. It only means your order will take the carriers (USPS) method of shipping. Some shipping methods are faster than others.

Freebies found inside the box that are consumable are yours to keep or share with others. :)
