Stun gun

I'm interested in a stun gun for personal defense, how many volt should it have to not be really dangerous for an aggressor? Which is sufficient power to temporary neautralize an assailant?

Are all the models on the market good for the purpose?

From what I've heard, other than the Taser not many really do the job.

Yes and no, IMO. Lots of police officers around here carry them, so they must be somewhat valid..

What exactly are you looking to do here?? Deter someone from attacking in the first place, or defend yourself once you're being attacked?? Do you have any training at all??

TASER's and "stun guns" are two VERY different items.

TASER's are fairly effective.

Stun Guns are NOT an effective self-defense tool.

Why care if it's dangerous to your assailant? If a situation has escalated to the point that you're actually using your stun gun, and you are worried about your aggressor getting hurt, then your priorities are severely in need of adjusting.

My wife carries this model. She's never had to use it.

did you ever see the arc of sparks coming from one of these stun guns? i wouldnt want to be the receiving end of any of these!

i have been hit with the best of them and they are ineffective.
even a m26 tazer didnt stop me.
dont count on these toys you see at the flea market to do much.
btw i have a few trophys i took from idiots that tried them on me as a joke.
