A bit of show & tell.
I only got the Spy 005 today, What A stunning bit of engineering  to Data.
3-4 hours later It got the XR-E Transplant. I can't leave it alone :ohgeez:
The Orb was done for a customer. Big improvement. Not Something I am offering.

I am not really ready to be able to offer in any sort of Qty any of the above, It is still work in progress.
Feel free to use the Thread for questions about the Raw Series with the XR-E.
As components become available I.e the XR-E & Refs to be ordered. I will be able to offer the Raw Series with the XR-E LED.
Time frame is looking like 2-3 weeks.
Costs to begin with are an extra £20 on top of what ever is ordered.
As for drop in parts for existing NS/Ti or Raw owners it could be done, but may only be economical for the higher cost lights like the Ti.(Drop in XR-E assembly to be decided)
There will be a new batch of Alu Raws Designed around the XR-E & the appropriate Mc Reflector.
In the mean time I have a huge amount of back orders to clear (Due to Nano charger Shortages)
Designs to finalize.
Any body waiting for there order wishing to have the XR-E in there NS/Ti/DA may do so at the £20 extra cost & possible 3 weeks extra wait.

To attempt to keep things semi organised, please if you have a order paid for & you want to spend the extra £20 on the XR-E. Just Send the £20 PP to [email protected] & I will match with your current order.

New orders for NS/Ti can be taken but please anticipate the 3-4 week wait.
:thanks:
So much for the show & tell :ohgeez:

:thanks: David. Hats of to you for the design & manufacture of this truly unique light.
I am turning down McR 19mm Refs as they leave a larger dia front end & still work Dam well. The 17 is the one in the blue headed Ti.

I am definitely interested in a upgrade drop in. As for a run of TI xr-e NS's I may also have interest in picking one up.

Rob,

What bin do you expect to be able to get for the XR-E? Any beamshots or graphs showing runtime comparison with stock configs?

Thanks,
Art

Part No. On Order XR7090WT-U1-0022 (73.9-100.4 lm)
Sorry no graphs or beam shots, not my forte.
They are brighter & more efficient, almost twice as.

Hi Rob

:paypal: for the XR-E upgrade to my existing Orb Raw NS order...

BTW, have you noticed any decrease in terms of heat?

Thanks again,
Art

Wow! Twice the output and half the heat?

Makes your beautiful Raw's even more amazing little pocket rockets.

Really looking foward to seeing my much larger and uglier HDS EDC get out performed by such a tiny torch.

Are you able to do these dual stage still?

Would there be a burst type feature as offered with the K2's & u bins?

These look realy nice.

I'm guessing twice as efficient is compared to ubins?

So maybee getting near, or nearer, an hour on high?

These look realy nice.

Did i already say that? well i've got to say it again; THESE LOOK REALY NICE :)

The Raw Da is pretty small. Are you modding it with the McR-17 XR for the Cree ?

How is the beam on all those lights? What kind of modifications did you make to make it work?

:thanks: for the further Payments.
Raoul_Duke, Yes Still with 2 Stage Low/High. With a Not so low setting 350 Ma to the LED you can get the 1 Hour. Don't forget these XR-E's lumen's (70-90) Values are rated this current :faint:
