What are the 900mah Protected Battery Station RCR123A's protected from?
The website only mentions short circuit, not overdischarge.

Are the 900mah Battery Station RCR123A's protected from overdischarge?

Sorry if this has been answered, I tried searching.

Hi Andy ,

I think they are .

But you'd get a more accurate answer if you asked the question directly on the BatteryStation Website.

Go there and click on "contact us" .....thats always the best way / rather than "hear-say"

Then you will know for sure .

I see that the "Tenergy" RCR123A's at Battery Junction are unequivocally specified as having protection against overdischarge, and are also much cheaper. They are 3V instead of 3.6 (need a special charger).

Since this was never fully clarified, I e-mail battery station, and they confirmed to me that the cells are over-discharge protected.

Try not to depend on it though. If they're like the ones I have from AW, they let the cells get below 2.5 V under load before tripping. You'll get more cycles not going below 2.75 V under load and 3.0 V is better.

There is very little capacity below 3.0 V under moderate to high loads.
