green keychain 5mW laser for $49

this looked like a really good deal:

jedilinux on my forum got one and has been happy with it. i think the product might be discontinued soon so im not sure how many of these keychain 5mW pointers are left.

How is the runtime? Comparison to a 2-AAA full sized unit?

It uses those little coin cells!

The laser itself is quite neat, however one thing that should be pointed out is the run time. You will get no more then about 10 minutes before you need to replace the batteries. I guess as long as you use it in short bursts here and there, 10 minutes might last you a few days though.
