I have had my eye on a Leatherman Core Multi Tool at Academy Sports simply because it came packaged with a slick little 3-LED single AAA light as a bonus. Problem was I did not wish to pay over 60 dollars for the tool just to get the light.....With a recent trip to Academy I found the last Core on a sale rack with no price. The cashier could not find a price on a scan and gave it to me for 14.99 since it was the last one.....I found this Core to be an excellent model and much better quality than my Gerber I have carried on duty for a while.
It is a little big however the quality is easily noticeable and for under 15 dollars this was an excellent deal....At times Academy Sports has great sale prices and is almost as good as Target for marking down old stock.
