I saw the update today too. The series on NGC is called "Man-Made", although I don't see it as one of the catagories. I'm going to give it some more time to appear in the schedule before I contact the production company again.

Is it possible that flashlights are just a small segment in the upcomming episode of "Man-Man: The Can", produced by Winton/duPont Films and airing on May 15? After all, most flashlights are nothing more than very fancy alluminum cans.

Winton/duPont films does not seem to have produced a lot of stuff, so it seems unlikely that they would have more than one National Geographic show airing in the same year, much less the same month.

My bad. I didn't look at the date closely enough. "The Can" aired in March 15, not May 15.

Oh this is way cool. Way to go getting in on this program.

I was like what does NCC mean...then realized it was supposed to be NGC. I love that channel, always watching Dog Whisperer and nature shows, and will have it on TIVO. I always backup my TIVO to DVD. I have a 250GB HD so mine holds about 220 hours of programming.

Anyone who needs either a SVCD or DVD who isn't getting one can PM me.

We've been waiting 6 months for this so 2 more weeks seems close to me.

Originally our segment was 2 minutes. Last I heard it was changed to about 5 minutes, but don't quote me on it.

The HID igniting the newspaper is a dramatic eye opener for the non flashaholic, so I have no doubt that scene will be included. I'm also certain that TVODRD's tank searchlight will be a major player.
