I'll give David at the production company a phone call tuesday when I get back to work per his request. As it stands, I have a business visit to Silicon Valley to explore some EE work by dat2zip and visit a company in Frisco-proper that is doing some work for my employer next friday. (With one of my tank lights chained in the bed of my pickup.) I'll spend next thursday driving up there. Saturday, I'll sleep-in and later join the party at modamag's place. The week after I fly to Orlando for SHOT! (Life is getting too freekin' complicated!)

It's quite simple. You bring a gift put it into the pot. At the end of the day we raffle of the gift and hopefully you don't get the item that you brought.

Checking-in from the Embassy Suites in Santa Clara. Had dinner with Wayne and Cindy last night, drove into downtown San Fran this morning, and will darken Modamag's place and some Parc (Whoops- another thread) tomorrow night!

OK ...

The meat have been trimmed, leaned & marinated with the help of lil' Andrew ... The salad have been cut & the egg rolls have been ordered.

The house have been cleared of all Xmas remnance and all the cobweb sweeped and tucked away.

Now for the final ingredient of a flashaholic get-together ... the LIGHTS. Unfortunately my collection is scanty so ... hopefully everyone will bring their collection. As many as you can carry / transport I'll set up a long dinning room table for display and show and tell.

BTW: Here's a quick tallied of the food which is coming along just fine. I see another couple lbs of weight gain beyond the holiday.

modamag so graciously accepted my wife (Ladybeam) and my last minute request to attend. Just the 2 of us. We are really gonna try to make it and I can't wait to meet some of you and see others again.

Ladybeam can bring some of her killer Weight Watchers turkey chili, it really is good.

GREAT LUNCH!!! Thank your family for us. Never saw so many lights in one spot. Yet I think some folks were modest and didn't bring out all their lights. The bright ones sure came out for the night shoot. I hear the Larry's TANK light knocked out some orbiting satellite photo sensors! Some interesting modding going on too.!

CroMAGnet took some really good pictures and I asked him to post them when he gets a chance.

We couldn't have found a better place for the tank searchlight. I loved seeing that big luminous circle projected 1.5 miles away on the Fremont side of Mission Peak. So many hikers stopped and gawked at the searchlight. Some asked if we were conducting a search and rescue operation, while others thought we were doing something akin to Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

The parking was a little difficult, but other then that everything went according to plan and it was a great CPF event. I look forward to seeing our segment when it airs.

Many thanks to Jonathan and family for hosting another very successful event. The food was fantastic, especially Jonathan's famous BBQ - always a special treat. Sorry I couldn't stick around to eat more than "all you can eat", but, due to a senior moment, I had left my USL at home and had to leave early to retrieve it.

We had a lot of fun at Jonathan's place and out at the photo shoot. It was good to see old friends (Beamhead, Lady beamhead, tvodrd, and others) that I hadn't seen in a while.

I'm very much looking forward to the next Bay Area event.

It was great to meet new people and see some familiar ones. If any of our pics are worthy they will appear.
