FIRST PHOTO -- 18mm tube for the SF U2

Anyone interested in another LeefBody, this one for the U2, in various 18mm (18650, 18500, etc.) lengths? HA-black, of course.

It should be possible to make it so that the factory U2 beltclip can be attached, the body can't be made too much shorter if thats the case though.

Leef, is there a planned ETA for the 18mm tubes? How much is it going to cost? How would I remove the U2 belt clip to fit into the new 18mm tube? Thanks.

At this point, the U2 tubes are still in the "am I gonna do it?" status. I'd like to, and when the 18mm tubes (C-M, C-C and C-E) are finished and on the market (in Jan, I expect), I'll decide abt. the U2 tubes. To some degree, this depends on how well the 18mm tubes sell.

I haven't addressed the belt/pocket clip issue yet. I may just machine the tubes to reuse the stock U2 clips.

Leef -two things:
One: I received the 18650 C-M tube from Lighthound: FAST shipping and I must say the tube is of very very high quality- is the inside Chemkoted? It looks very nice indeed! I will post pics of my KL6 mod at some stage.
Two: Given the quality of the above tube I am now very interested in the U2 tube- please go ahead with this!!!

Okay, guys, here's a question.

I started looking seriously at this project last week, and without spending a lot of time on it, I couldn't unscrew the body tube. Is this a tough task, or do I just need to be a bit bolder with the torque?

Also, does anyone know if the U2 LE will handle 2x LiIons (e.g. 2x18500)?
