Hey Guys,

How the heck do you guys go about determing the current boost
and adjusting it???

Example: I see people selling Cree mods saying they can set it at 1000mA
or 700mA ??

If I'm using the wrong terminology, please forgive me :)

I'm great at soldering, but would love to play around with the mA settings.

In the boards I'm familiar with (dat2zip's) you need to change the resistor values on the board to obtain a desired output current. He's got a calculator in his Shoppe.

Or you can get drivers from Georges80 or see his site at taskled(dot)com. Example, if you use the Fatman driver, your battery voltage must be less than the LED voltage (~3.5v). That means you should use 2 x AA batteries. You just need to add a 50k log potentiometer to the circuit and you can adjust from 0mA to 1000mA (eg).
