defender bezel

Hi
i know surefire produced some L2 and L6 Porcupine special models
Unfortunately these are sold out.
I dont think I´ll ever need to:touche:with my l4 but I like such stuff.

Anyone of you has ever tryed/built a bezel like this?

well I brought my own ideas to a 3D graphics program.

It is not yet ready for a cnc mill due to inacurate messuring but ok for first try, I think.

They should replace the standardcrown of the bezel,so the finish of the flashlight is not hurt.(as with the tad gear bezel)

Anyone ever tryed to modify his torch like that?

I think part of the reason why this is not a popular mod is because It is very difficult to get surefire heads open.

Ah thanx for your advice.

The loss of warrenty is a good reason not to change the cap.
I fear the the uncool way, just fixing a cap on the original one is the "better" solution, then.
Or I just leave the L4 as it is,one of the best pocketsize torches.
