LEDs in Electrolytes

If one were to modify an LED, change the terminals to be two different supercondicting materials, and placed the LED in an electrolyte, (possible adding some additional voltage to the electrolye) would the LED work?

Only if each terminal is in a separate tank of electrolyte, and there's a net voltage across the LED.

Good luck modifying the terminals though :huh:

Ya, this was just a hypothetical question. Trying to really figure out, if there is any way you can just suspend a bunch of raw LEDS into a substance, and have them light up.
