I put a heat sink on the magled dropin in a 2c cell maglite. I have ran light for 4 hours with no problem. I wanted to see how long batteries would last, so I
left light on (did this twice) till light was very dim. 1st time 5 1/2 hrs, 2nd time
about 6 hrs. Removed batteries both times and the battery closest to the led measured 1.2 volts and the battery at the tailcap measured .6 volts. My question is, is this normal, and if I left light on and forgot to cutoff would this pose a problem where 1 battery has more voltage than the other one. The body of light is slightly warm for app. 2 1/2 to 3 hrs then starts to cool down. I used
2 new duracells each time. The reason for asking this is I fixed a couple of lights for some friends and wanting to make sure I didn't have a safety issue.
