Al, I've got one each slight crenelated and heavy crenelated. I believe you've got a non crenelated version did this exist and when did they stop making it ?

There are four main styles of Millennium TurboHead:

1) Push-in, snap-fit Lexan window - Discontinued. Replaced by:
2) Plastic retaining ring secured Pyrex window - Discontinued. Replaced by:
3) Scalloped metal retaining ring secured Pyrex window - Current standard.
4) Crenelated "StrikeBezel" metal retaining ring secured Pyrex window - Current "-CB" option.

I have at least one of each.

I believe you are referring to my sigline image - a photo of my purple A2.

That is in his sig line. It is his favorite surefire.
It's not actually my favourite SureFire but it is a signature image for me now.

This image is my signature which is at the bottom of every post I post.
As you explore CPF you'll notice that other people have siglines too.
You can create your own by clicking on "User CPF on the left of the forum's top bar. Please keep your sigline no more than four lines of standard font or six lines of the smallest font (font size=1).

Thanks,
Al

P.S.
As an example of a photo of TurboHeads:
P52.jpg

I think this photo is two less than I currently have...

I was asking this in another thread, and apparently the ring can unscrew, but it is prob locktited (glued) in the threads and will need some trickery to remove. I believe if we sent the head to a custom machinist, he could make a new crown for it.

The CB is pretty nice, though I know a lot of people prefer the smaller scallops and even the flat version better. But I for one wouldn't mind a more exaggerated crown! :D Something like Kiu's mag crowns....

Btw Al, that's nuts!! Tell me you didn't pay for all of those and that you get some of them as freebies :D

Fair enough - yep the window retaining rings are sealed tight but I guess somebody could remore and replace it if they so desired.

I prefer the scalloped version myself.

The M6 was also called magnum light vs. the current millenium combat series can you expand on this ? BTW, if those turboheads start to pile up on you, you can always send one my way:naughty:

Got an M6 myself, that is one awesome light right out of the box...but I want more, don't know why. I have one of the newer ones with the slightly scalloped rim, been thinking of upgrading to the larger scalloped one though.

Only problem with the CB and a more exaggerated crown is fitting into the blackhawk holster. Are there any nice open top holsters for the M6?

kooter, are you a machinist? Depending on price, design and finish (a matching HAIII would be excellent!), I might like a custom crown. But not sure if I can get my CB ring off myself to screw on the custom. Whatever the case, do keep us in the loop if you are designing a bezel for yourself!

Does the old style flat bezel M6 even have any inner threadings to screw on an aftermarket or other version CB ring? I'm guessing it has the pyrex holding ring there, but not sure if its threaded or 'pressed' in....

Got it open!

Enormous heat an force are necessary. You need a wrench tool for the Brezel. I put some M5 8.8 Screws in a Metal plate.
The only damage the head took are some tiny nicks from those screws.

Pics of my way to success:

Now it is your turn, so not be soft

€: The threats were full of crap (all the black)
