Alright, since my post Leaving Las Vegas was apparently too overwritten for the General Flashlight forum, let's try this...

Is any one else having trouble with the red SFA2 affecting aircraft cockpit displays?

SureFire have a YG (yellow-green) LED version specifically designed and intended for use in dark cockpits and where "night vision" devices are also used.
The dim yellow green output compliments the similar green light from many cockpit instruments and night vision devices. The human eye is most sensitive to green light and so you don't need as much of it in order to see it and see by it.

I regret that SureFire does not offer the LED rings as replacements for you to swap out. It may be worth calling SureFire, explaining your situation and the issue you experiencing with the red LEDs in case the situation has changed.
