Sold:

Mag625R (4400 lumens) w/ 2 sets of cells.

This light is a Mag625R similar to AWRs Mag625R except longer. It's built in a 6D Mag body with a 1D extension to hold 11 4Ah 1/2D NiMH cells. The custom Hotdriver is set to 12.7 volts. I placed aluminum foil between the insulation and the inner surface of the Mag body to reflect IR back inside the body instead of being absorbed by the aluminum tube. The foil and refractory insulation are absolutely necessary to allow more than 5 minutes of run time. At 8 minutes the head becomes uncomfortable to hold. There are no marks on this light. It is flawless.

Included components:
6D Mag Black
1D extension
2 x Osram 64625 Bi-pin bulbs
Camless MOP reflector
Boro-float lens
AWRs Hotdriver (Special for Mag625R)
KIU ceramic socket
Ceramic refractory insulation
Tail spring fix
11 x 1/2D 4000mAh NiMH batteries
Another 11 1/2D Cells
PVC charging tube (I'll put banana plugs or Tamaya connector per buyers choice)

Shipping will be via DHL ground. I'll cap this at $20 any where in CONUS. Was originally capped at $15 but the weight of the additional cells will raise shipping costs.

Beam shot comparison with a Mag138. The Mag625R is on the left.

The first :takeit: gets it.

Holy jesus, And you can use it as a baseball bat too. that thing is HUGE. That's just cool. What is the runtime off of a full charge?

Not quite sure. It runs long enough to get too hot to use, then after it cools off. You can do it again. And again. Approx runtime to "HOLY SH*T! That thing is hot"! Is about 8-10 minutes. 8 minutes for those of us with hands used to computer work. 10 minutes for those of us working in the steel industry. I figure 2 full runs limited by temperatire and the 3rd one would drop way out of regulation before it quits.

Ahh so its more of a "hey look at my firestarter, flashlight, baseball bat, blunt trauma weapon". It still rocks. getting about 25-30 minutes off a full charge isnt bad at all. Almsot puts it in the practically usable catagory as long as you have a welding glove on while wielding it.

The numbers work out to ~4100 bulb lumens. It looks like more, I believe, because it's SOOOO white. I think somewhere in these forums it's been described as "scary white".

I think I should come up with my own line of lights. "Freud's Flashlights"
The "John Holmes 625"
The "Milton Burle 458"

Re: For Sale: Mag625R

Jimmy, can the hotdriver be set to any other settings other than for your setup? If so is there any reason that it could not be transfered to another light with the KIU socket and set to say 12.1v or so? Thanks, hb.

No, no reason why not. The "Special" part is a shorter soft-start to save the MOSFET from burning up. AWR could shed more light.

Re: For Sale: Mag625R

Could be a good partner to my 4D.

Whats the physical size, ie length?

How long is the runtime of a full charge of 4Ah batteries?

Thanks.

Re: For Sale: Mag625R

It's 60 mm longer than a standard 6D. I'm not sure how long that is.
As far as run time. I'd say 2-1/2 eight(8) minute runs.
