Thread: 3x D Cell NiMH + cree\ssc ?

    Default 3x D Cell NiMH + cree\ssc ?

I have searched, but all applicable threads are for Lux1\3 and instead of just going with what I've read there I'd rather ask for your highly respectable advice :P

What value of resistor would be optimal for running an SSC T bin from three D cell alkaline or NiMH batteries?

I simply must have one of those funky aspheric lenses and the 3D mag would probably be a suitable body.
Either that or construct a body from aluminium and head from PVC fittings.

Also, what boost \ regulator circuit would be suggested for running from one or two NiMH D's ?

    Thanks!

It depends on the vf of the Led

You can use a Flupic-board with 3xD-cells and wouldn't go with 1 or 2 nimh.
For a small form factor I would go with 1x18650 LiIon and Flupic.

    Best regards
