Ooooooo! The 3" reflector will do wonders for The Torch!!! What a perfect application of the new FM3H! I have always found that the original reflector size of the Torch to be its only weakness... (dare I say?)

The believe the FM3H will improve heat dissipation and, most importantly, it will vastly improve the hotspot and throw!

FiveMega - except for the smaller bulb opening, does the reflector have the same shape & dimensions as the ones in the older FM3H's?

Also, will the new reflector fit inside the older FM3H heads?

I have the gunmetal gray one....and it is much darker than the pewter Mag. It is a dark metallic grey color......which, to my knowledge, won't match to anything other than a gunmetal grey body (unless you are the type who enjoys mixing it up a bit).

I asked the same thing about the finishes available. I want a HAIII Nat Grey to match the FM 1450L. The HA GM Grey is mighty pretty, but I don't have any lights to match it, although I guess that it would be the best alternate selection to go with the FM 1450L if the Nat finish is never coming.

It would be mighty nice to know what, if any other, finishes will be available and if the chrome head is a close match for the nickel bodies you have sold in the past such as the 2x2x18650 ROP setup a couple of months ago.

You're right about this being a perfect fit for the Torch, WP. I'm been using one of the older FM3H's with my USL and it really adds some throw. I'd expect that adding a FH3H-2 to the Torch will give the owners just about the same WOW that they had when they first got their Torch.

Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!! I just screwed my 3-inch (ahem) head onto a 100-watt Mag 623 and it throws a beam like you would not believe. Then I screwed it onto my JimmyM-made Mag458 (three fee long and driven by 17 1/2D NiMH cells and god knows how many watts) and HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!! What an incredible light: a focused 11,000-lumen beam. Who needs a shotgun?

I would also be interested in the Chrome plated head, would this match your Nickel plated 2x2x18650 ROP IN 2.5D M*g?

Chrome is more shinier/brighter than nickel and of course cost more.

Parabola of both new FM3H-2 and old FM-3H reflectors are same but new one comes with removable cam and 12.7mm bulb opening vs 15mm
New and old bezels, reflectors, lenses and O'rings are exchangeable.

Gun metal gray is darker than pewter.
