I'm looking for some info on which spotlights are the best.

I use the spotlight for golfing at night and currently use a Brinkmann 200,000 cp
Super Spot with a 12 volt 12 amp rechargable gel cell battery. I have to be concerned with battery draw, so the CP - amp usage is important, as is the battery weight. Is what i'm currently using the best way to go or is there some marine spot that might have a better spot pattern or special lens?

Thanks,
Lance

Spotlight answers..

Hi Lance,

Sounds like you need efficiency.

The most efficient spotlights today are HID-spotlights like the Amondotech, Harbor freight or Sam's.
Or, if you have the skills, you can modify a halogen-spotlight to HID..

Any questions, Please ask..

Oh,, and welcome to these forums BTW !! And watch your wallet during your visits here!!

Regards,

Ra.

Greetings and Welcome to CPF!

Just as Ra recommended above is a start. There's also the GoLights (http://golight.com/) that you may wish to check out.

Hope you find what you're looking for and Enjoy!

here is more info on the system.

2- 55w trunk lights (both on in unison) operated by 1 switch

2- very small purple tinted bulbs (always on)

1- 200,000 CP spot operated by 1 switch

The 2 small lights stay on always and act as "running lights"

The 2 trunk lights lite up my ball and the immediate area

The spot is used to spot the flag

My concerns are

trunk light & spot are no higher than 2 1/2 feet off the ground
to keep down on glare
Battery draw
shadows in the "Spot" pattern
bulb lifetime

mainly wondering if flourescent may be a better way to go
I need the most useable lite with minimun battering draw

Thx Again,
Lance
