I have been getting numerous requests to build Aspherical Maglites.

To keep costs down I would think the best way to go would be direct drive with the light being powered via a single 18650 cell. A stock switched sub 1d size would be $110 and would be identical to this light.

A tail switched model is also possible and would be $50 additional. and would be similar to the light below only around 1.5 inches shorter.

Please express your interest in this thread.

Thanks Mac

Mac, I think I would like at least one of these, but I am still confused as to how bright that focussed hotspot is...say compared to the hotspot of some of the maglites I posted about here. Since most of us don't have any experience with this lens, can you give a better idea?

Here you can see I compare an Aspherical Lensed Seoul P4 to a 1.5 Million CP Vector spotlight.

https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/154760

The Mag hotspot was more than double the brightness. Also I have noticed using the Cree XR-E LED in the Asperical mag is noticeably brighter than the Seoul.

OK, I'm down for two then, thanks. WOW! I was not familiar with that Vector spotlight.

Does that lens need a flat LED die to work right, or might it also work with an incand bulb? (Just thinking out loud....)

Got the :paypal: ready !

One with the side switch please. :takeit:

A bright color would be great for this kind of light - blue, green, red.

Thank you Mac - W0W a lot of people want these!

In your other thread on the Aspherical lenses, you mention: "......I modified a bezel to hold a PL1072 Aspherical lens......"

I already have a homemade cutdown MagC with tailswitch and an 18650 powered Cree.
Would it possible to get just the modified bezel and Aspherical lens to add to this light?

Sorry but I don't really have any spare bezels. What color would you need? Send me a PM.

What colors are you making available, if any other than green?

Also, what are the extra fees for shipping in Canada? Thanks!
