I have always thought of a combination flashlight/kubaton/key holder in one.the kind of kubaton with the two perpindiclar spikes on the side.It would have a T.I.D. bezel, twist on/off or body button, and an adjustable single key holder at the end so that a person would have the light/weapon at the ready when using the key not just hanging from the key ring.key, kubaton, light all inline,it would be small about the size of a L1D.anything like that exist?can anybody make one?
something like thishttp://www.weaponsgalore.com/servercode/showpic.asp?ID=2019&height=350&width=475&imagetype=
with the key holder like thishttp://www.oldtoolheaven.com/breast_drills/drillimages/1938chuck.jpg
i did this in ms paint so you guys colud get what i'm thinking.

I think there was a mainstream manufacturer that used to do something like this. Not completely sure, but maybe Streamlight?

But I do know they no longer produce it. So either there was no market for it or they didn't want to worry about legal liability.

Re: idea for a self defense light **added pic

i have seen the one your talking about but the keys go on a key ring. What i want to see is it dedicated to one key only so that the user is holding the weapon at the ready, you would be able to lock/unlock while holding it properly for instant use if need be,such as if someone were to grab you from behind it wolud already be in your fist and you cold punch, poke or downward strike with it.

errr the poster seems to be more offensive than defendsive towards the really usage of the light ......... ooops

unless one has learn some form of many martial arts out there, no much use even u have a knife for defensive purpose .....

gun is different of course :)

errrrr i think u shld post it at some other fourms with "self defense" or "martial arts" , i don't think here we shld ""encourage"" to how to use a flashlight as a "weapon" though ..........

:)

It might be an idea to take this idea to the underground.

A weakness of the design is that while you have the key in the lock, you are likely to snap it off if startled. Locksmiths charge a fortune these days, and having a new key cut is not pocket-change either.
