Excellent message. I hope those who say "Oh, he/she was just a cook (or driver or mechanic or....)" take it to heart.

Great story! I've never heard anything about it, before.

Lots and lots of heroes in ALL of America's wars. Many (perhaps most) who deserved medals, didn't get them.

I'm glad the self sacrificing, incredibly brave, Ensign Frank Flaherty did!
