Wonderful looking! Can't you cram more than one 18650 in there though?

Its a Mag1C configuration so I dont think you can put more than 1 18650 .

I do have a Mag2C set up the same way and is using 2 x 18650 .

Raul, you're on a quest for the sun in your pocket, aren't you? :D Very nice setup. How about some outdoor distance beamshots please?

Salamat Pare,

I will get some shots for you when I get home tonight....
It's overkill to do it indoors...

Thank You Tom.....I love this light...small and light and bright...

Essexman...that washer thingy is where FiveMega installed a charging jack.
That way I dont have to take the battery out to charge it..

Lowtech....The Cree's are running a 900ma each...but it does drop off because of the battery limitation, its still plenty bright...

Well that's just an absolutely gorgeous light and an awesome build! The crown sets it off too...

Did you do the build yourself?

I thought that battery tube would just pop right out! Wrong!

They will come out pretty easy for use with AW C protected battery and the charging plug still works. Mirage Man can cut the tail-cap down...

I did it the hard way on this one, no fun...

Ouch....that didnt look like it was fun...

The tube will come out when you unscrew the charging jack, as you probably found out..

What are you planning on doing now?

Yes I did the mod myself with some help from modamag....

Thanks......

Have you considered hooking one of these up to run the LiIon "C" cells? Those are more like 3300mAh instead of 2200 -- should be good for at least 50% longer runtime, maybe more as I bet the "C" cells would not sag as much under load.

Yep, I found out the hard way! :)

I'm really not sure at this point. I was thinking about a triple Seoul or I have a 5w X3T laying around. I'm gonna pull the batt tube and have Mirage Man cut the tail-cap to fit an AW C.

How did you decide between the Cree's vs the Seoul's...

I'm interested in what you would suggest having gone through the Mod & having done it yourself, anything you'd do different...

Thanks

Yes...I have considered using C cells. But probably one of my other mag c mods..
This one will require more modification due to the way FiveMega set up the charging jack..
But I have 2 other MagC mods with tri and quad cree that I can convert to the new C cell...
And you are right it should help with the sag...
Thanks for the suggestion...

Re: It's official my Quad Cree Mag is royalty...

Lips....A tri-cree or Tri-seoul is the way to go...its simple specially if you are using stars instead of just the emitters.
I went with the cree because it was the emitter that I had..now that the seoul is more available, I would prefer it . It just depends on the reflector that you like...I have a tri-seoul that is using the McR20 reflector and will be making another one that uses the SMS20 reflector, its cheaper..LOL

Pm me if you have any questions....
